History
Following its formation around 30 years ago, OmegaGroup was formed with a focus on the German market, particularly on the cities of Berlin and Leipzig. This included the revamping of Lortzingstrasse 15 and the Tschaikowskistrasse 2 in 1993, or the building of the Thekla Complex in 1994. In 1997, OmegaGroup expanded to Frankfurt by developing the Reuterweg project near the Opera House.
In the 1990s, OmegaGroup entered into one of its core areas by developing the Burgplatzpassagen garage, representing one of the first parking projects of the Group.
International operations began in 2007, when OmegaGroup and AZA Trade of the Czech Republic signed a qualified Letter of Interest to mutually develop the AZA sites around Prague Ruyzne Airport.
Further international projects in the field of hotel developments were pursued together with LBBW Immobilien and the Kempinski Group after 2008 & 2009.
Additional international projects were entered into and completed in Algeria, Kazakhstan, or in Mongolia were a test house was constructed at a temperature of -39 degrees Celsius. After 2011, OmegaGroup completed its first village in Uganda, Africa out of the Oslo office in a Joint Venture with KLP, Norway’s largest pension fund.
The Group also continued its representation of JAFZA / Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is shown in the attendance of EZW at the Hannover Fair.
The commitment to establish innovative parking projects was furthermore demonstrated by the acquisition of “Parkhäuser Villingen-Schwenningen” from the Stadtwerke Villingen-Schwenningen. The deal included almost 80% of the public covered parking spots in a medium-sized German city. The staff had to be kept on for 2 years and the garages renewed. After coming to an agreement with an operator, the project was sold to a German private bank fund.
The focus on parking was further demonstrated with the planning and sale of “Parkhaus am Feldberg” in the Black Forest on the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
The Group continues to grow and establishes further international footholds in Brazil, KSA, or Canada where the focus lies on extreme climate First Nations housing. After 2016, OmegaGroup also enters various markets by entering into exclusive agreements, or taking shares in sister organizations. One such group works on behalf of GCC countries to qualify past medical billing procedures. Despite the general decrease of international business during the pandemic.
OmegaGroup continues to be optimistic about the development and realization of its current and upcoming opportunities. Projects such as the hotel in Marrakech, the expansion in the food sector and national efforts in the real estate sector give reason to believe in further successes.
OmegaGroup continues to demonstrate its flexibility through the rapid introduction of a concept to support refugees from Ukraine. Previous commitments, such as Canaccord Genuity’s commitment have set the stage for the concept BRIDGE 2 FUTURE to have a meaningful social impact. The Group puts great value on sustainable solutions.
Today, OmegaGroup works with a number of renowned international partners to realize projects in relevant core business areas. These range from work for governments in the field of medical reclaim, hotels and living projects from Germany to Morocco, or renewable energy projects in Europe.
